Hello! I am Olga Bolshchikova

Before diving into the UX, I was a visual designer. Both in my life and my work I strive to achieve a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics. I find Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's aphorism inspirational:

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

I am never afraid to say "I don't know". On the contrary, I think that a willingness to admit this just opens the doors for more opportunities and experiences. Staying open-minded and getting insights from individuals much smarter than myself is what shapes me into the designer I am today.

And I Do Other Things

I am a musician: guitar, piano and voice. Most of my life I sang in Russian, now am learning to sing in English.

I am a crafter. Knitting and crochet help me to be very detail-oriented. I love creating lacy and exquisite items and detailed toys. You can see them on my website NiftyKnits.

I am a world traveler. My husband and I have visited 20 countries, 103 cities (and counting!). One highlight: hiking the Yosemite Falls Trail, North America’s tallest waterfall.
